Mr. Abhimanyu Pothal is an expert in safety management and safety culture. He has 25years of experience in the field in India and abroad.

( Reliance Refinery Limited  at Jamnagar, Which is World’s Largest Grass Root Refinery for J3 (3rd Phase ) about more than 13.5 billion USD. The main consultant is Flour, Shell, DuPont, Bechtel etc. The activities involved directly is Tank farm 9 spheres & 14 tanks by M/s VTV, Cryogenic tank by M/s L&T, Effluent treatment plant (ETP) by M/s AFCONS , 140 meter flare structure by M/s ZEECO and other contractors M/s GDCL, M/s PENTA, M/s SAREENS etc.

As per OSHA in this project 1 safety person for every 50 workers, my direct boss Mr. Greg Hancock of USA. To implement safety procedures as per international standard. Safety agenda the first shall be discussed in every meeting excluding safety meetings. The workforce is more than 120,000 with vast time bound project is an opportunity to work in lifetime career. The aim is to maintain World Class Safety Standard in RELIANCE in INDIA. Leading a group of more than 40 safety professionals of different contractors. )

He has worked in Gulf countries – KSA, BAHRAIN and QATAR – mostly on safety management  in Civil projects like Infrastructure, High rise buildings, Hospital, Steel plant, power plant, Petrochemical, Electro-mechanical works. In India he has worked or associated with industry giants like Reliance, UB Engineering, Bechtel India, NCC, SWCC, HADEED Steel Plant, KJOC (Aramco Project), ALBA Line 5 Expansion, Bechtel International, Contrack International Inc, Darwish Engineering LLC, Contrack Cyprus Ltd, OHL International, URS global, QF, KEO etc.

He has work experience with consultants of international repute like  PARSONS, LB, KEO, ASTAD/QP.  His expertise in safety culture had resulted in crossing 20 million safe manhours twice in SIDRA MEDICAL RESEARCH CENTRE, a USD 2.5 billion project with 13,000workforce. This was a record in Education City, Qatar.

He has strong presence in Construction Safety Management/Audit/Inspections, Safety Training,Documentation, AMS systems as per client requirements.  His communication skill forces the trainee to imbibe safety culture convincingly.

Mr. Pothal is determined to use all his experience to this endeavour to prove “Safety saves life and money”.
